Jack C. Borders Obituary

Jack Clayton Borders, age 75 of Aurora, IL. passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 8, 2023 at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on August 4, 1948 in Aurora, Il to the late Edwin Borders and Dorothea Borders.

 

Jack grew up in Aurora. He was a Boy Scout through high school, receiving his Eagle Scout. He joined the USMC in 1969, pursuing a military career. He served two tours in Vietnam. He was wounded in both tours, receiving many medals including two purple hearts. He was employed by Illinois Department of Employment Security for 30 years before he retired. He was currently employed by Community Crisis Center in Elgin, IL. Jack was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Aurora.

 

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janet Borders, one daughter Bridget Borders, two granddaughters, Amanda Ingraham and Kaila (Andy) Rivers, 3 great grandchildren, Jill Rivers, Lailah Rivers and Jude Rivers. He is also survived by one brother, William (Carla) Borders, three sisters, Judy (Bob) Walker, Carol (Arnie) Peterson, and Patsy Borders. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in law.

 

He is preceded in death by his daughter Brooke Ingraham and his parents Edwin Borders and Dorothea Borders.

 

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11 A.M. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 420 W. Downer Pl., Aurora. Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl.

 

Memorial gifts in Jacks name may be given to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 420 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL.
