Sally Laz Obituary
Obituary published on
Legacy.com by The Healy Chapel - Aurora on Jan. 7, 2024.
Sara
"Sally" Laz was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, partner and
friend. She left this world on January 7, 2024 at age 74.
She was born to Bill and Diana Laz on June 22, 1949 in Aurora, IL. After graduating from West Aurora
High School in 1967, Sally attended the University of Illinois and pursued a
career in banking. She ultimately received a Master's Degree from Aurora
University and held prominent positions at Old Second National Bank, Merchants
Bank and Fifth Third Bank.
Sally loved her family and had a passion for documenting and writing about her
family history. Her work has ensured that her family's legacy will be shared
and remembered for years to come. She was also an avid gardener and loved
spending time in her flower gardens in the summer. In her later years, she
lived happily on a 5-acre farm that she shared with her partner Ed in Big Rock, IL.
Known for her humor and strength, Sally used both in a long battle against
Alzheimer's. Fighting until the end, she passed as she lived-with fearlessness
and grace.
She is survived by her children Adam (Sinthia) and
Adrienne, and her grandchildren Ian, Mila, Evan, Joey, and Bailey.
