Clyde W. Slamans Clyde W. Slamans, 61 of Oswego passed away Tuesday December 22, 2009 at his home. He was born September 8, 1948 in Mt. Vernon, IL the son of Rose (Drennan) Slamans and the late Samuel D. Slamans. Clyde served his country for four years with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed for over thirty years at Caterpillar retiring in 1991. Clyde had a big heart and was loved by his family and they will miss him deeply. He enjoyed reading the bible to his son on many occasions. Clyde was a Christian and believed in the Lord; where he now has gone home to. He is survived by his son, James Slamans of Oswego; his mother, Rose Slamans of Sugar Grove; his sister, Katherine Flom of Henderson, NV; his brothers, Thomas (Kay) Slamans of Aurora and Sam (Elaine) Slamans of Bowling Green, KY; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. December 27, 2009 at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl. Aurora. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. December 28, 2009 also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
