Lynne H. Nord
Lynne H. Nord, 50, of DeKalb, died Saturday, August 19, 2000 at her home. She was born Nov. 24, 1949 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Ruth (Copelin) Hogan. She married Steven Nord on Dec. 23, 1972 in DeKalb.
Lynne was employed at Northern Illinois University as a secretary for Career Planning and Placement for 20 years. She was very active in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Northshore Animal League. She was also a member of the DeKalb Wesleyan Church and the Genealogical Society.
She is survived by her husband, Steven of DeKalb; one son, Scott Nord of DeKalb and her mother, Ruth Hogan of Aurora.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Paul.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thurs., Aug. 24 from 5-7 p.m. at the Butala Funeral Home & Crematory in Sycamore, followed by a Memorial Service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Ray Anderson officiating.
