Swan, Ralph J."Timer" Age 64, of N. Aurora, IL went home to be with the Lord Jesus on August 12, 2014. He was born on October 15, 1949 in Aurora. Devoted husband of Denise (nee Cougill); dear son-in-law of Reva Cougill and brother-in-law Mark Cougill; beloved son of Lois and the late Ralph Swan; adored father of John (Valerie), Jenny (Steve) Smith, Teddy and Katie; cherished brother of Esther "Bebe" (Chuck) Fuller, Linda (Carl) Zamecnik and LeeAnn (Karl) Karnatz; loving grandfather to Trevor, Sydney, Pressley and Jocelyn; joyful uncle of many nieces and nephews. Timer graduated West Aurora High School, attended Luther College, served in the Army Reserves and was an office furniture Manufacturer's Rep in the greater Chicago area. Timer was passionate about growing father and son relationships through The Passage To Manhood men's ministry where he served at Ginger Creek Church. He also enjoyed many canoe, fishing and wilderness trips with family and friends. Visitation is Friday, August 15, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia. Ralph will lie in state from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the Ginger Creek Community Church, 2850 Ginger Woods Pkwy, Aurora, IL with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment West Batavia Cemetery.
